Fabio Calabria (Australian): I was lucky and went home to Australia for a month before the team’s January training camp. In late 2015, Team Novo Nordisk’s men's professional squad and staff headed to Rosarita, Mexico to build houses for two families tragically impacted by diabetes and poverty. This unique training camp resonated throughout the season and everyone agreed it was essential to continue giving back.

This past week, Team Novo Nordisk built three houses in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic again for families affected by diabetes and poverty. In addition to the men’s professional team, this year’s service project included Team Novo Nordisk’s development team’s athletes and staff.

Two Riders Join Team Novo Nordisk Pro Squad as Stagiaires

Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team, is bringing up two of its best development riders, Frenchman Quentin Valognes and Dutchman Rik van IJzendoorn, onto the men’s pro squad as stagiaires for the remainder of the 2016 season. Van IJzendoorn is slated to make his professional debut at the Tour of Utah, which begins today.

We are following Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first all-diabetes pro cycling team, throughout their second appearance at Milan-San Remo.

Team Novo Nordisk’s Italian sprinter, Andrea Peron, rode in the main breakaway at the 107th edition of Milan-San Remo for the second consecutive year. The 293-kilometer race is the longest one-day race in the world.
